Top marks for Hygiene
One of the country’s leading independent schools underwent a complete transformation of its kitchen during the summer.

Altro Whiterock Premier Installers Rudge Brothers and James were contracted by Cheltenham College to remove the grimy broken old ceramic tiles and prepare the walls for the new Altro Whiterock Hygienic wall cladding. At the same time the old safety flooring throughout the kitchen and wash up areas was replaced.
As with a good number of very old buildings the new safety flooring required Rudge Brothers and James to carryout a great deal of preparation, this included scrubbing the ceramic floor tiles three times with degreaser to remove years of latents, apply a coat of latex over the existing ceramic floor tiles, apply a coat of liquid damp proof membrane, then applying a second layer of latex before supplying and fitting Altro Stronghold 30, an enhanced slip resistant safety flooring.
